कथा
Akshaya Tritiya is the single day of the year when the hidden lotus feet of the Banke Bihari deity are unveiled for public darshan — a sight devotees wait a whole year to behold. As summer sets in, deities across Vrindavan are smeared in cooling chandan (sandalwood paste) so the Lord stays comfortable in the heat. Anything begun on this 'never-diminishing' day is believed to grow without end.
