On Hariyali Teej the whole of Vrindavan dresses in green to celebrate the lush, rain-fed beauty of Braj. The day's great attraction is the gleaming golden swing (sone ki jhula) at Banke Bihari Temple, brought out for public darshan on this one day each year. The deity is swung as devotees throng for a glimpse of the season's most dazzling shringar.
