Best Time to Visit Vrindavan

4 मिनट पठन·अपडेट 18 मई 2026

The right time to visit depends on what you want — comfortable weather, vibrant festivals, or quieter darshan. Here's how the year breaks down.

October to March — the comfortable season

Cool, pleasant weather makes this the best time for most travellers. Ideal for walking the temple lanes and the Vrindavan parikrama. Winter mornings can be chilly, so carry a layer.

Festival highs

Holi (March) and Janmashtami (Aug/Sep) are unforgettable but extremely crowded. Radhashtami and Sharad Purnima are also special. Book stays months ahead for these.

April to June — summer

Very hot, often above 40°C. If you visit, plan darshan for early morning and evening and rest at midday. Crowds are thinner outside festival days.

Monsoon — July to September

The Jhulan (swing) festival in Shravan is a lovely, lush time to visit, though rain can affect travel. The greenery and cooler air are a welcome change.
