The story
Observed on the sixth day of Chaitra Navratri, Yamuna Janmotsav honours the river that cradles all of Krishna's pastimes. At the famous Keshi Ghat, priests and devotees perform a massive, coordinated morning aarti, offering long sarees, flowers and lamps to the Yamuna and seeking her blessing. The ghat steps fill with floating diyas as the sun rises over the water.
